Title: Making your mind matter
Post by: purplemoonshine on September 26, 2015, 01:12:05 AM
I know this has been asked actually already, but no one responded. I am hoping someone will  ;D

Does anyone have any experience of the online course (Hay House) of Joe Dispenza's 'Making your mind matter'?

Any thoughts from the administrators?

It looks like an excellent course and some of us do indeed require the extra motivation to really change our minds and find the inner divine.

I purchased it, but unfortunately am having quite a few difficulties working with it. There is great material presented in it, including the video (which I believe is the precursor to attending a progressive) broken down in subject matter, and then an additional recording. For the first week, there is also workshop notes, the water meditation and body parts. Problem is there is no instruction as to what to do first, what to do on a daily basis, i.e. no clear course outline, so you are left wondering what you are supposed to be doing.  I chatted with Hay House, I also had them call me, but they were unable to offer much support, just repeating "there are several components to the video". They suggested I read and watch and listen to everything and then send them a summary of what is missing in terms of instruction! Would love if the Dispenza Administrators could respond, and ideally, that each week come with instructions for the students as to what to do with the material, otherwise it seems like Hay House has taken the best from Joe and lumped it altogether, but done little else.  I really don't meant to rubbish it, but Hay House needs to give it some type of structure and then it can be really good as all the material is there.

Oh  :'( That is not good. I was so looking forward to it. Thank you mmarigold. I can see what has happened. Such a shame. That looks suspiciously like a money making endeavour. The administrators really should comment I believe. Kind of puts Dr Joe in a poor light really, even if it is Hay House.

I feel terrible describing it as such, as his material is of very high quality usually, but at the very minimum Hay House needs to needs a course outline/agenda, particularly given the cost for non-Americans.

I don't know about this particular online course but I can say that I read the Breaking the Habit Book  And,  in addition to being very informative throughout the book, the end details a week by week progression on how to move from knowledge to action.   My guess, and my experience from attending one of the workshops, is that Dr. Joe follows the same basic format for those "starting out."  Also, in hearing Dr. Joe speak about how work has evolved I came to understand that he never planned this whole phenomenon taking off like this.  You might say the universe surprised him by how much and how quickly his work has affected people.  So, therefore, I think he and his "people" are doing the best they can to keep up with the blossoming demand for his work on different platforms (books, books on tape, different translations, online courses, etc).  I don't know this for sure but I get that sense.  I don't know if this helps but I thought I would offer my two cents...

Hmmm, I don't know.
This isn't a criticism of the materials though.
Online courses are often like this and the cynic in me thinks it is a further way to make money.
I've often thought that if someone really wanted to make a difference, why not impart it for free?
But now I'm dreaming, aren't I?!
(It's just I would, you see...)
And others have.
Ever researched The Peace Pilgrim? An amazing woman who just seemed to exude joy.
It's interesting that the administrators have not left a comment though...

Yes, I understand Peaceseeker. In any case, if I have a problem, I try to come up with a solution, so will summarise and make some suggestions to Hay House as they requested.

Hello to both mmarigold and purplemoonshine

To marigold I was not suggesting NOT to impart your suggestions.  I was merely trying to give a possibility (among many) that the online issue was occurring.

To purplemoonshine, have you ever read Conversations with God?  I have found it to be an excellent reinforcement of Dr. Joe's findings/teachings.  I TOTALLY understand the "cynic in you."  I grapple with this as well.  Here is where I am playing with my beliefs in the area you brought up....Money is not bad, making money is not bad, etc etc.  Is merely our interpretation and conditioning of the money issue and perhaps why we (I do this too) see the negativity in an occurrence like this online snafu.  I might feel the same if it were an issue that were impacting me.

I was trying to give some idea how to use the online course (the book) and why something like this might happen.

If my response does not apply then it will go back into the field of possibility to be used in another situation or transmuted into something else that someone else can use.

Cheers!

I agree in that the course is not really - so far - taking us by the hand & teaching us in a step-by-step method that I think Joe prefers.  I'm listening to his tele-class right now - first one associated with the course, and so far I hear lots of people asking about the meditations. One student asked where the meditations were & what he was supposed to do after he'd listened to the week's videos. Dr. Joe mentioned a meditation - I believe on this web site - but I couldn't find it.

The Making Your Mind Matter course has a Bonus tab that lists 2 meditations you can listen to but so far in Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 we have not been instructed to listen to them or how we are to listen to them.
For instance: listen when (AM/PM?), with or w/o headphones, sitting or lying down, what happens if you fall asleep, etc.

FAQ doesn't cover any of this.

I was not able to get thru to ask questions on the tele-class right now, so I guess my next step is to call Hay House with my question in hopes they know the answers or have the resources to find out directly from Joe or his staff. I do know that both Joe & Hay House have the intention that we learn a lot & grow from this course, so I think they will be interested in our questions and feedback on the course so far.

Thanks Peaceseeker for mentioning that there is a step-by-step section in the Breaking the Habit book. I bought the Kindle version & will read the book along with watching the videos from this course.

OK, I called Hay House and asked some questions about the Making Your Mind Matter course and pretty much got no answers.  She was very polite and took down my suggestions though. She said she would give them to her manager and hoped they would then get to Louise Hay and Dr. Joe.

I suggested that:

My next step would have been to call a contact number from Dr. Joe's site, but there is none listed. And it says if you have a question for Dr. Joe that you need to sign up for his monthly teleclass. But I will submit a question to the General category and see what happens.

Not sure if I'll request a refund yet, but I'd say if we don't get more guidance then I probably will. While the course is reasonably priced, it is still too expensive not to have any support.

This makes no sense to me, I went to my account page, assume that is where my dashboard is located and saw nothing different.  Also it says under the bonuse to click to access Think Greater, etc.  and I get taken right back to my dashboard page and I can't find any reference to this Think Greater course.  Please someone advise.  Thanks

I am going to attempt to answer my own questions..I am a newbie but this seems to be happening to me lately, answering my own questions.  Dr Joe asks a person "Are you doing the work?"  Well, that seems to be study study the subject until you really start to understand it , not on the surface, but within yourself.  Be aware of your thoughts, actions, and feelings.  as much of 24/7 that you can. Meditate, create and lose the old, repeat, repeat, repeat until the old is broken and the new is installed.

In short there are no instructions such as baking a cake, 1 cup of flour, 1/2 cup sugar, then stir and bake.  I must do the work at what ever speed and intensity that I desire, no one or no thing is going to do it for me.  I am sure I have probably over simplified the whole thing, but from where I am at at this time, this is as deep as I go.. :)

I am currently on the 5th wk of the course and love it!  I agree with Peaceseeker on his/her first post, that Dr. Joe has exceeded his wildest expectation and is trying to keep up with the demand for his work.  There are no detailed directions so I just asked the divine to guide me in how to apply the material.  I study the weekly material  released every Friday under the video demand tab.  Also, I choose to meditate using the Water Rising audio every morning and night since I have heard Dr. Joe say that it's the best time to meditate.  Occasionally I use the Body Part Space mediation but I prefer the Water Rising because I had no experience with that meditation.  Prior to the course I ordered the Body Part Space meditation from his website. At any rate I just relax and enjoy the meditation and as a result I am going deeper in meditation!  I believe the key is to practice meditation daily! Although the course material does not have an outline and appear to be material from a previous workshop, the key is to practice your meditation.

Hi Jeane,

The changes were added w/in the course it's self - not on your dashboard.
Once you go into the MYMM course, and then go to Lesson 1, at the bottom there are instructions on what to do after you've watched Lesson 1 videos.  And there are instructions on how to use the meditation videos, specific chapters to refer to in each of the books they suggest reading while doing the course (which are mentioned on the course Welcome tab.

There is also a link to this forum at the bottom of Lesson 1 and at the bottom of the Bonus tab.

Sorry for the delay in replying to your post. This forum doesn't email you when there is a new post against a thread you've created or contributed to.   A suggestion for Dr. Joe's team for this forum since this is on his site and not on Hay House site.

Hi Penzput,

You can use the function "notify" at the bottom, right of the thread. This function bring you an email each time there is a new message on the thread. Only one notification will be sent until you open again the thread (even if then, 10 new messages have arrived).

Wow I did not look at this as a complaint forum.  Hi everyone.  I am simply blown away by what has been happening in my life.  I posted to Dr. Joe what seems like ages ago, maybe a couple of months, during the free promo talks that i found on Hay House.  I don't have a disease or a major problem, but decided to apply the principles to the big project(s) that I am working on.  The results have been phenomenal.
I've been studying interspecies communication, which really works well for me.  Also teaching nature connection to teenagers at my kids' school.  In order to connect with nature, or to connect via telepathy to another species, you have to have a very quiet mind.  Additionally, to connect with nature, for the critters and beings that live outside to approach me, I have to have a very very quiet spirit.  Easier said than done.  So, a meditation course made sense to me, in order that I could find a more reliable way to find my quiet mind and make contact with those Others.  (I hope this makes sense.)
Well this course (Making Your Mind Matter Online) immediately made that happen, and so naturally I decided I'd experiment with what progress could be made with my big project.  Namely, how to make the human/animal connection come to the fore in a more global way.  I've been studying natural horsemanship (with Pat and Linda Parelli) for nearly a decade.  And then Nature Connection with Jon Young.  And then Interspecies Communication with Anna Breytenbach and Wynter Worsthorne.  It has seemed to me that these all fit in to a much, much larger puzzle and I can't believe somebody hasn't been following it through.  So, what the heck, why don't I fiddle around with it?  So this is what I realized for my Tuning in to New Potentials, and other meditations.
In recent years I've been developing relationships with wild animals (elephant, zebra, etc.) much like the Parellis taught me to do with horses, and the results are astounding.  But, how to bring this to more humans??  I figure if we can build a real bridge between our species' we will all have a much happier world to live in.  I've learned to communicate with the wild animals even when I am not with them, thanks to Breytenbach and Worsthorne.  And how to connect with Nature herself via Jon Young's methods.  But still, how to knit it together?
Enter Joe Dispenza.  I'm sorry this has taken so long to tell (I'm a painter, not a writer!) but since I started his meditations, things have accelerated.  To cut the story short:  This past Sunday 12/6/15, I was invited by the Global Peace Initiative of Women to present with a group of world-renowned spiritual thought leaders at the Kagyu Dzong meditation in support of COP21, taking place now where I live in Paris.  Their group represents human faiths from all over the world, some really experienced and wonderful folks.  I was able to tell them what the wild animals told me about peace and harmony, and they are delighted to have representation from the Animal Nations for the first time.  This would not, could not, have happened if I had not been doing the meditations which opened door after door for our message.  I have been under the wings of an eagle, flying high.  I have been the sunrise.  I have felt the very air breathing me, rather than me breathing it.  And all of this while I was not "I" at all.
All during the meditations from this course in the past eight weeks.
Does Dr. Joe Dispenza rock?  You'd better believe it.  I do.

I am nearly end of Week 3 now, and I am LOVING it every bit of it. The meditation(I'm doing the body part one) is unlike any other meditation I have done in the past; it trains the mind on a phase by phase basis(4 phases) and I can see where it's heading gradually and it's well WORTH the time.

I  also found it helpful to use the Breaking The Habit book as a supporting materials in addition to Joe's online lectures and hand outs.

For those who can't find those meditations/Bonus:  you can access them directly by clicking on 'My Orders' on Hayhouse's landing page and the click on the links.

I did email the support twice now so frustrated with the whole 7 day waiting period. Thought maybe someone on this forum would have some insight.  I don't really understand the need to wait. I want to review the entire lesson and then put things to practice. So frustrated with the waiting process makes no sense. My next step is to email all contacts for all companies and parties to find out why this is so important to make people wait for a product they have paid for. How we review and put into practice is up to the buyer.  You don't wait for chapters of books to be mailed to you when you buy a book. Frustrated!!
Title: Re: Making your mind matter
Post by: Calispera on March 10, 2016, 02:32:43 AM
I guess the delay makes part of the lessons, and your frustration is then an opportunity to learn something.

We are not in a pure intellectual training process, neither a pure practical learning process. It has to do with personal development, psychology. And if, mentally we can understand the lessons immediately, psychologically it takes more time.

But nevertheless I agree partly with you, because each one has his own rythm, and then the delay of 7 days is probably arbitrary. They could have decided to put it every month, or every three months. What would you do then? ;)

I'm on Lesson 1 and I'm really liking the course so far. But... I really wish that the material could be downloaded. I am moving to a place with very limited internet access and I won't be able to stream once I'm there. It would at least be nice to be able to download the meditations for more flexibility in where and how to listen to them! Guess I'm going to have to purchase them separately which is a bummer considering the course was not cheap.

Hi Ephie,
Like you I am very new to this too but I have been able to download the meditations part of the Think greater! lose your mind and create a new one! course.
what you have to do is access the course and click download on rising water, and body parts one after the other.
when it starts playing right click on it and you will see the option save as, then you can save it.
I have both meditations on my computer and it makes it easily accessible for me.
Now remember that when doing them you have to stop at the first bell for the first week.
Let me know if you succeed!

Hi Fonda,
I read your post and just wanted to tell you I understand your frustration, but if you don't mind me suggesting something to you try reading lesson 1 over and over again. Every time I do I discover something new. Plus you don't need the locked lessons to start putting things into practice. The meditation and the work related to monitoring your thoughts are enough to keep you busy for the next 7 days. Intentionally shift your focus from frustration and turn it to enjoying the first steps.
It's meditations day 3 for me and I enjoy every single second of it. I cannot describe the state of joy I am in; I haven’t felt this way in such a long time I am so glad I purchased this course! It's not easy to willingly  force your body to sit still for a while especially if you are a beginner. I keep feeling the urge to scratch some part of my body but it's okay, as I know my body will soon get used to it. And it will be so worth it in the end!
So good luck to Fonda, and to all of you who are just starting like me!

Dear Dr Joe,

I purchased Making Your Mind Matter. I heard in the Week 1 that if I want to learn and remember something that I should listen to it, or repeat it multiple times.  So, I have listed to each week minimum of three times before going to the next lesson.  The information has been easy to follow and understand. It has also been fascinating. I got to week 4 and for some reason the material, was not going into my brain. I don't know why, but I decided to keep following my prior process. And the information, finally entered my brain.
Along the way, I began to notice that I was recognizing interesting things in my body.  Like, the signal that my brain sent to wake me up. That was really amazing.  I really did not know what I was supposed to be doing with all this information, but learning it on a cognitive level. Interestingly, some time during week 2 my married son mentioned to me that I should start learning to meditate. So, I began practicing what he told me to do, get all thoughts out of my head and only concentrate on my breathing.  Well I knew that there had to be more to it then that.  I am currently in week 4.  And I apologize. But after listening to week 4 about 7 or 8 times. I went back and listened to the whole program again from the beginning.  Then, I noticed the bonus at the end. So I went in and listened to all of the bonus material.  I just want you to know Dr. Joe, the belief that I wanted to change was one of feeling totally worthless. The one I replaced it with is Loved and Charished.  I am looking forward to week 5.   I can never tell you how grateful I am.  I know that I will never be the same. I am looking forward to getting all of your materials.  Thank you so much.

I love the course so far.  In the beginning, I didn't know what to do either.  When I finished lesson one, there was a statement telling me that I could start the Meditation.  I don't remember that there was any suggestion on how many times and when to do them.  I do remember in listening to Dr Joe saying in several of his youtube tapes that he sets aside 2 hours, from 5 am to 7 am to make sure that he becomes the best person that he can be before getting up.  I'll have to admit that I only go to the end of the meditation tapes which are about 55 mins and sometimes even before the ending, because I feel that I've already reach the point of feeling energy rush through my body in anticipation of a future event, or the thought of myself overcoming some habit that I would like to change and going to a stated of total gratitude, joy and love.  However, even though I am positive that I've created my new life in the future time, lots of things are challenging me through the day.  Issues that all of a sudden popped up with my reaction to people that I would like to change in myself.  On one hand it feels like all this work is not working, on the other hand, these habits have been part of my past for so long, I imagine that it will take more than 10 days to clear up.  All and all, I do feel very positive after each meditation, which I do morning and night each day.  I am sure the quantum field is already bringing a new life to me in the near future.  I did call Hey House and found out that the meditations are at the end of Chapter 9.

My experience with Making Your Mind Matter is that Dr. Dispenza is in a clear, decisive way explaining the way we have received information in the past and it has become an unconscious part of our behavior/reality both in the mind and in the memory of our cells.  He further explains how when we receive a new thought, one that feels like it creates a shift in us, it actually is creating the shift in the mind and the cells.  If you continue thinking about the new thought and other new thoughts join that then we create new neuron pathways that will remain together and our outer "reality" will begin to respond accordingly.

The objective is to assist us in understanding how to get out of our old way of thinking/believing and shows how easily we can train our minds and cells to a new reality by becoming no-one and no-thing.  This is done through the meditations.

The two meditations referred to are received at the very end of the program.

I thought I would share my experience for others who may be wondering about the Making Your Mind Matter course. I came across Dr Joe around 3 months ago and my life has been absolutely transformed. Many people in my life are now practicing his teachings just through seeing the changes in me and how happy I am. I went from rock bottom to life rocks in around 3 weeks. In saying that I was committed 100% 24/7 to doing the work and the meditations and I was on top of everything I thought and felt so that I could get myself out of the mess I was in with my life.

I have wanted to do the Making Your Mind Matter course for some months so when it was on sale I purchased. After doing the first week I saw that the course is exerts taken from Dr Joe's online Intensive which I had already done for $99 on his website. They have broken the intensive up and put it over 8 weeks with limited access each week. If you purchase the course on Dr Joe's website you get instant access to the entire course for 30 days. I rang Hayhouse and they confirmed that the entire course is taken from his online intensive and happily gave me a refund. You get a couple of extras such as two Q&A sessions and two of his meditations to download however I had already purchased the meditations for just a few dollars from Dr Joe's website and am signed up to his monthly Teleclass so have an abundance of Q&A each month that keeps me on track and learning more.

It cost me less than $120 to completely transform my life through Dr Joe's work and I know for others out there when we are trying to get our hands on his work initially before we've learnt how to generate what we need it can be difficult so I will share what I purchased and did. It's affordable to absolutely everyone.

Online Intensive $99: http://drjoedispenza.com/index.php?page_id=Intensive-Workshop-2014
Teleclasses $9.99/month: http://drjoedispenza.com/index.php?page_id=tele_class
Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself Book Meditations: https://rf127.infusionsoft.com/app/storeFront/showProductDetail?productId=380

I watched the online intensive over and over to really integrate it. This whole concept of me creating my external reality was new to me and it did take me watching it again and again to accept this as reality. I did the meditation every morning. Sometimes I did it in the evening too. I put signs up all around my house "change" and wrote "C" on my hand each day to constantly remind me and practised, practised, practised until it became a reality for me. The teleclasses have been invaluable. Any questions I've had have been answered through that each month and I learn more and more and expand on this state of being.

I hope this helps others who are wanting to do Dr Joe's work. God bless Dr Joe for bringing this gift to us all.

Thank you for your message!! I should have known this before, cause I paid 250$US which are 350$CA!!! Ouch! But I think it's worth it!!

I read this on Dr.Joe's website:

Due to popular demand from our listeners, Dr. Joe now dedicates a full-hour to Q & A, the last month of every quarter (March, June, September and December.)

Are the teleclasses each month or not? And is there a difference between teleclasses and webinars?

Thank you!! :)

After I registered the online course by Dr. Joe, I got an discount notice about the two books related to "making your mind matter". Now I can't find the links any more. Would anybody help me out to find the two books? Thank you very much

Hi avdbc,

Yes there is one teleclass each month and I think it's every 3rd or 4th month is Q&A. They are invaluable and really worth signing up for. If you can get your hands on the previous abundance teleclasses, there were two parts, they changed my life. They are currently still available in the teleclass section for me so if you sign up immediately you might get them. You only have access to the last two months teleclasses at any given time so you can't get previous teleclasses unfortunately. They really help you to feel like you are connected to the teachings and hearing from others in the questions at the end of each teleclass is great because they have very similar questions to what we are all needing answers to usually. I think the webinars are pretty much the same thing as teleclasses from what I've seen.

Hi
I can share my experience, initially I downloaded the free pdf copy of "Breaking the habit", I was very impressed with the book, I found that it is full of information that can actually be put in to practice, I felt like I wanted to buy Dr. Joes books and have purchased all three, not just for knowledge but also the pleasure to reciprocate in some way for an extensive body of knowledge.

I then made a decision to focus solely on Dr. Dispenzas work and subscribed to the online course, as previously mentioned the material is there, and I have downloaded the meditations and am doing the work daily, I very much enjoy the process, so it does not feel like work, there is not a great deal of structure if you just follow the online course, I meditated daily prior to joining, so found it very easy to incorporate the meditations in to my daily routine, my advice to anyone considering the course is to read "Breaking the habit" first, its all in there, the progression is also included in the meditations with the chimes signalling the various stages.

To summarise, I am very pleased with the course, but then I am a huge fan of Dr. Dispenzas work, possibily a bit of confirmation bias, I am also interested to hear how people unfamiliar with the work are finding the course.

All the best :)
